I really hope that the show doesn’t glaze over this one particular thing. I want the show to at least show that the team’s affected by the fact that Steve just suddenly left for someplace leaving on a letter to explain.
I want a bar scene like the one in Meka’s episode in season 1 with Chin saying a few words to try and make Danny feel better. Does what he can and then leaves with Danny still at the bar so that he could have some alone time.
Maybe not even have the drinking scene at a bar but at Steve’s lanai and Grace reassuresing him that their SuperSEAL will be okay

angstangel PafhanIt’s still dark outside, only a fade light along the horizon. He carefully sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed heavily. The warmth of the sleeping body seeped through the back of his shirt, making it even harder for what he’s about to do. A piece of paper was clutched tightly in his hand, burning his palm like it was on fire.
Steve put his letter down next to Danny’s pillow. He hoped it’d explain everything his partner needed to know. He didn’t expect forgiveness, he wouldn’t dare. This time, he didn’t even bother to tell him face to face. He knew exactly what another man would say, knew Danny would follow him to hell and back. But this was his fight. (It is OUR fight! You dumbass!, Danny would’ve argued.) No. He couldn’t do that to Danny. To Gracie. The risks were too high. And Danny had too much to lose.
He brushed a strand of blond hair out of the man’s face. Danny looked so much younger sleeping. So peaceful it hurt. And something tugged painfully at his heart when he thought of the moment Danny realized what he had done. But it was for the best for everyone. At least that’s what he believed.
Steve pressed a ghostly kiss on Danny’s temple. A low murmur answered him, but that was all.
“I’m so sorry, Danno.”
He got up and left the room without looking back. With one last pause at the door, Steve silently said his goodbye.

Oh dear!! these are breaking my heart - you got Danny's little face so perfect for the mood of the angst -- have you thought of printing them out and sending them to Peter Lenkov? Or Alex/Scott? they are brilliant! ~ Jazzy
Yeah I wanted to print some of them out to make more postcards. But the original size of the pictures was too small and I forgot everytime I started drawing a new one. And no, never thought about sending them to Peter (or the cast) I’m not sure what they will think about the fanarts XD It might seem weird to them, LOL.
